To all individuals, groups and organisations who wish to hire the school community hall at Captain Shaw’s C of E Primary School. With immediate effect, all management of the hall has been taken over by the school (where previously with the trustees of the school). We will continue to ensure you enjoy the benefits of this important, shared space and have outlined stakeholder responsibility below:
We will:
Continue to take all bookings – please phone (01229 718279) or email school (admin@capt-shaws.cumbria.sch.uk)
Hold public liability insurance for standard meeting events (through Cumberland Council);
Ensure appropriate and timely access to the hall;
Provide access to the playground for parking;
Ensure sufficient tables and chairs are available in the hall (we will need to be informed of requirements when booking);
Provide access to the kitchen and toilets;
Invoice you at the end of the month – please leave contact details when you book.
You will:
Hold your own insurance for events such as fitness classes or which hold a higher risk to participants over and above our public liability insurance;
Put up and arrange tables and chairs as required and refold and stack at the end of your event;
Ensure the playground is left as found (including ensuring no litter has been left such as cigarette ends);
Ensure the kitchen and toilets are left as found;
Ensure all lights are turned off and the building and gates are locked up after the event.
Hire Costs:
£10 for 1 hour
£20 for up to 3 hours (a morning/afternoon)
£50 for a full day
