Our School Safeguarding Statement
It is our duty to protect children from harm and we take every step to ensure that your child is safe whilst at school. We believe that when children feel safe and happy they are in a good place to learn and develop. At our school it is our priority to provide an environment and curriculum that contributes to each child’s emotional and physical wellbeing in order that they can take advantage of all that school offers.
School policies are updated when necessary to reflect any changes in statutory guidance. Appropriate training is given to governors and staff for safeguarding and health & safety awareness.
If you ever have any concerns about a child do not hesitate to seek advice or speak out. Investigations of serious case reviews show that many people will have a had a small piece of information or a concern that, like pieces of a jigsaw, when put together give a clear picture of what is happening. Your piece of information may be crucial to protecting a child from physical, emotional, sexual abuse or neglect. No-one likes to think about such things but by being vigilant and alert to the possibility means we are all better at protecting our children. If in doubt – act.
